Third Party Upgrades
As a Microsoft Certified Gold Partner, our R&D team develops the OmniRIM product using the best practices and standards that Microsoft dictates so as to avoid potential problems as new Hot Fixes and Service Packs for their products are released.
Similar to all major software vendors, we put OmniRIM through a thorough and significant QA process using a standardized base install of a specific version of the Operating System and associated applications (such as SQL or Oracle), and the officially supported versions of these platforms are found in the release notes that accompany each OmniRIM release.
Microsoft provides many tools such as their Update Compatibility Analyzer that allow their customers to test the potential impact of applying their Service Packs, Hot Fixes and Patches to a production application environment. As with any mission-critical environments, OmniRIM strongly recommends that you test these first in a non-production environment to evaluate compatibility and suitability in your specific circumstances. If you do encounter any problems in your testing, please log them with OmniCare Customer Support and we will work closely with Microsoft to resolve your issues.
If you would like to have OmniRIM work together with you to do QA verification in your company's specific environment, we would be able to do so on a billable engagement basis. Please contact OmniCare Customer Support so that we can evaluate your specific requirements.
